Female expatriates on the move? Gender diversity management in global mobility

An increase in gender diversity activities and a greater societal awareness of inequality issues have led to an unprecedented focus on management (GDM) multinational companies (MNCs). Despite GDM efforts MNCs, female expatriates continue be under represented global mobility are still missing as explicit target group MNCs' endeavors. the evidence for gender-related challenges concerning expatriation, does not account when it comes policy considerations. Accordingly, based 31 in-depth semi-structured interviews, we seek explore why underrepresented international assignments. We find that relation between company's its respective is, most cases, nonexistent. also discover MNCs utilize gender-blind approach is shaped by stereotypes which favor selection male employees mobility.
